About InovoSync
Ten years building software that businesses actually use.
Our Story
InovoSync was founded in 2014 by engineers who were tired of watching businesses buy software that did not fit. We saw the same pattern: expensive licenses, months of configuration, workarounds built on workarounds, and eventually—shadow IT or spreadsheets creeping back in.
We started building custom internal tools for New Zealand businesses. Payroll integrations. Scheduling engines. Compliance reporting. Each project taught us something about the gap between generic software and real operations.
By 2019, we were building full platforms: a healthcare management system for Reliable Home Care, a multi-tenant SaaS for a fintech startup, an automation pipeline for a logistics company. The common thread: we understood the business before we wrote code.
Today, we are a distributed team across New Zealand and Australia. We work with clients in NZ, AU, UK, US, and Europe. We still do not hire juniors. We still start with discovery. We still ship vertical slices every sprint.
Mission
Build software that fits the business so well it becomes invisible.
Engineering Philosophy
Principles that guide every architectural decision and line of code.
Every sprint ships a working feature from database to UI. No "backend done, frontend later."
TypeScript end-to-end. Shared types between client and server. Schema-driven development (Zod, Prisma, OpenAPI).
Unit tests for logic. Integration tests for contracts. E2E for critical paths. No snapshot testing theater.
Structured logs, metrics, traces, and alerts ship with every feature. Debugging production is a first-class concern.
We choose proven stacks (PostgreSQL, Redis, React, Node). Innovation goes into your domain, not your infrastructure.
Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). API specs in OpenAPI. Runbooks in Markdown. Reviewed in PRs.
How We Build
How we think about code, quality, and craft.
Discovery-First Delivery
Every engagement begins with a structured discovery phase. We map your workflows, identify constraints, and define success metrics before writing a single line of code.
Vertical Slices Every Sprint
Each sprint delivers a complete, working feature from database to UI. No integration surprises at the end of a phase.
Observability by Design
Structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and automated alerts ship alongside every feature. Production debugging is a first-class concern.
Security in Depth
OWASP Top 10, dependency scanning, secret management, CSP headers, rate limiting, and regular penetration testing are not optional. They are the baseline.
Progressive Enhancement
Core functionality works without JavaScript. Enhancements layer on top. Accessibility is not a feature toggle.
Documented Architecture
Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), API specs in OpenAPI, runbooks in Markdown. Reviewed in PRs alongside code changes.
Why Clients Trust Us
We don't just say it. We prove it on every engagement.
Senior-Only Team
No onboarding juniors on your dime. Every engineer has 10+ years production experience.
Fixed-Scope Phases
Discovery, Planning, Design, and each Development phase have fixed scope and price. No open-ended T&M.
Weekly Demos
You see working software every week. Feedback loops are short. Course correction is cheap.
Direct Access
You talk to the engineers building your product. No account managers, no project managers translating requirements.
Production-Grade From Day One
CI/CD, monitoring, backups, security headers, rate limiting—these are not "Phase 2." They are the foundation.
Referenceable Work
Reliable Home Care is a live reference. Speak to their GM. Ask about our process, our communication, our code.
